A Godfather walked into a bar…
Godfather would have had a funny punchline to that. And it would always be a different punchline. My Godfather could tell the silliest stories.
I lost my Godfather today.
He was so silly. He put cheetos in my ear and made mustaches out of them. Godfather would always sneak me candy and gummy bears.

Godfather knew exactly what a girl needed. He bought me purses and stuffies.
Godfather knew how to love a Goddaughter.
Godfather let me play with his special cars that he didn’t let anyone touch. He played soccer with me. Did I mention he always snuck me candy?
Ever since I was a baby, Godfather let me pull all his arm hair. Arm hair is weird but I guess boys have them, and he let me pull them.

Godfather was supposed to watch me grow up and take me on adventures. Now, he gets to watch over me and keep me safe a different way.
Mama said Godfather was too tired to keep fighting. I don’t know. When I cut my hair and started to get in trouble, Godfather gathered enough strength to tell Mama not to yell at me for that.
Godfather was my protector.
I don’t understand yet why he had to keep drinking adult juice. But I’m sure one day I will. For now, my heart is a little sad and a little broken. I know he’s in my heart now, but I wish I could play with him.
Godfather helped me learn soccer, but told me it was okay to run around like a crazy person instead of kicking the ball.

Godfather won’t be playing mustache cheeotos anymore or put them in my ear. He won’t be playing soccer. He won’t sneak me anymore candy.
Godfather was tired.
No more pulling his arm hair.
No more sneaking me candy.
Godfather taught me things he probably shouldn’t have. Like using a whip. He might have regretted that decision when I started whipping him.

Godfather let me be silly and crazy.
I miss my Godfather. Everyone says he loved me so much. I know he did, but I wish he could have stayed longer to show me more silly things. And sneak me more candy. I hope he’s not tired anymore.
I love you Godfather. I will always miss you. But I think lots of people will help me keep your memory alive. You will be in my heart forever with my Lilo, Stitch, and Lil Mama.
