CHRISTMAS! And other December things.

Christmas, er I mean December, was a very busy month. It was my second Christmas…er December. I have to remember not to get ahead of myself. I did not think you could top Thanksgiving. All that food! All you do is eat all day long! I mean, I eat all day long on a regular basis – a kid has to grow – but this was a different kind of eat all day. I digress…

After Thanksgiving, my Grammy came into town to hang out for a little while. While she was here, my moms took us to look for trees. Why they want to look for trees is beyond me, I stopped trying to understand my moms a long time ago. I vaguely remember we did this last year and they put a tree in the house. I thought it was just some kind of weird dream because who puts a tree in the house??

Friends – it was not a dream. Moms legitimately got a tree and we took it home with us. Then they put up in the house! But they kept telling me I wasn’t allowed to touch. They bring a gigantic tree into our house, but the no no part is me touching the tree? Do you understand that logic?? Then, to make it even stranger – moms pulled out a bunch of toys and lights to put all over the tree. What? So not only do they bring a tree into the house, they put toys and lights all over it, but then tell ME that I can’t play with it?!?!?! Do you see what I have to deal with friends?

After we made a quick trip to the store for supplies, they finally let me help put toys on the tree. That made my day. But they still kept saying I could play with it. I don’t understand anything anymore.

We also put up lots of friends outside, like Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie, Mickey, Rudolph, and Santa!

Santa…

Santa is not a friend people. Santa is some weird old guy that says weird things. Mom’s work had a huge event that they do every year where they collect food and money from people and they give that to people who need food. This year, they let me donate some food to help people that need it. Santa was there. To say that I screamed the scream of a thousand babies would be an understatement.

I think I went a little off track, didn’t I? Santa just brings back bad memories friends, bad memories. Where was I? Oh yeah, we decorated outside too with all of my favorite people (not Santa). Mama even made a Grinchy and Max and made it look like they were stealing our Christmas! That was the movie during December. I made my moms watch it on a loop.

December had more new things also. Mama took me to my first s…ss….schh…school…thing. I wasn’t so sure about it, but they had super yummy food! My friends’ mom tried to teach us something, but I totally didn’t care. My friends were there and there was food, that’s all that mattered.

You know what was the coolest thing about December? Lights! My moms took me driving almost every night to look at the lights on houses. I won’t lie, I was in awe of everything. I could not get enough of the lights. Totally worth breaking my bedtime routine and staying out late. Some houses even had music and flashing lights! Moms will have to step up their game next year. I told you that Grinch is my absolute favorite, right? Guess what moms found when we were driving around looking at lights??? Whoville!!

I definitely did lots of playing in December even if the white stuff from the sky didn’t come as much as I would have liked. I stepped into Mama’s shoes and helped my Granny on her ranch. I made sure to help feed my cows, and learned how to feed the sheep. I also learned how to push a wheel barrow!

Learning how to drive.

Now, for the coup de grace for December…wait, that’s the right phrase right? Don’t forget guys, I’m not even two yet and my mom says I have start writing my memoirs or something.

CHRISTMAS TIME!!! So. Many. Presents! And they were all for me!! My Ma and Dada were here and so was my Masi! I was just missing my Granny and Grammy, but I did get to have a Christmas with my Granny a few days earlier. So this was actually my second Christmas of the year. Oh man guys. So. Many. Presents! Wait, I said that.

Anyway, I think I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves on this one. It was way too magical to put into words.

Whew, was it a busy December month. Since December is the last month of the year, let me regale you with a story for the last day of the year.

Twas the night of December 31st. Our friends across the street invited us over to play with their dogs, and I guess hang out with them. I was rocking and dancing and having the best time. I have never partied like I partied that night. I partied like it was 1999. Mom says that a lot, she must be really old if she was alive in the late 1900s. It was like 15 minutes past my bed time and I was going wild. The last thing I remember about that night was that I took off my pants and was streaking through their house as natural as I could be while my mom was chasing after me. I might have had one too many juice boxes that night…

Until next time my friends!
