I am the big 18 today. Yep, 18 months old. Whew, it’s been a long year and a half. I’ve been through a lot, seen some things. I’m definitely wiser now. I have perfected the art of tricking my mom when I really want something. She falls for it everytime! We did it up big for my big 18.

I had no idea my moms would start the party so dang early! There I was. Sound asleep and snug as a bug in my bed. Dreaming of all the mischief and mayhem I plan to cause. With a jolt, they woke me up and threw me in my car seat and chucked me into my truck. Well, maybe they gently picked me up and gingerly put me in my car seat and softly put me in my truck, but the former sounds much better in my half asleep state. I couldn’t go back to sleep because I was curious where on earth my moms would be taking me when the sun hasn’t even woken up yet. When they finally get to the place, they take me out of my truck and made me sit in this weird contraption. I guess I should add that they did make this contraption a nice, warm bed so I got to roll in style. They understand my needs as a Maharani. They wheeled me somewhere in the dark. I couldn’t see anything. We went through bumps, weeds, gates, and lots of other thr…threac…..treacherous (I think that’s right, only 18 remember? ) obstacles.
When we finally stopped and my eyes adjusted, I realized they took me hiking! Although they didn’t call it that. They said we were supposed to sit and watch, but we were at hiking trails! I kept trying to hike around but couldn’t figure out where I was going. I took a drink of my warm chocolatey milk and spilled it on me, and then….You’ll never believe it! A whole bunch of big balloons lit up the sky! There were different shapes, and they were huge, and they were bright.

You know, sometimes in life you look for signs to help you figure out which direction your life should go? This was my sign. I saw those balloons and they lit my way. No sagebrush, tumbleweeds, or rocks were going to stop me. I took off for the balloons and went for the biggest hike of my life…until my moms stopped me. Foiled again. We stayed a little longer watching the coolest balloons ever, until my mom started getting really cranky. Have you ever seen a grown woman throw a temper tantrum? It’s not pretty. They’ll try to tell you it was me, but don’t believe them. Remember friends – snitches get stitches.

After my mom threw a fit, we went back home so that she could take a good long nap. We still had the rest of the day to celebrate my big day.
Later that day, my moms took me to my very first ballfoot game! It was the Wolf Pack vs Idaho. I am supposed to root for the Wolf Pack. They said that sometimes being a Wolf Pack fan is hard. They weren’t wrong, the other team scored their first goal..basket…no, wait I know …. touchdown! In the first 13 seconds of the game…eek.

At the game, I got to see my Auntie Beth and Uncle Noah! I even helped them sell some burgers for Little League! My mom tried to introduce me to Luna, but I wasn’t so sure of her. Ballfoot is weird and hot. Moms bought me something called dippin dots too, THAT WAS SO YUMMY!

Again, my mom didn’t make it long. She got super hot and cranky and threw another fit, so we had to leave before the end of the game.

Overall, it was a solid day of lots of first time things. Even though they made me start my day super early, I’m glad my moms took me out today to celebrate the 1-8. I think it’s time I put moms to bed. They had a super long day. G’nite my friends!
